This policy describes how NextOfKinRecords, operated by ME Lawyers, APLC (“we”), collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: your name, phone, and email; the name of the person who passed away; and, if you choose to provide it, your relationship to that person.
- Automatic information: ad campaign parameters (UTM, gclid), the page you arrived through, and standard analytics data via Google Analytics.
How we use it
- To identify the right offices, prepare records requests on your family’s behalf, and help you pursue the records.
- To contact you by phone, text message, or email about your request (with the consent you give at submission).
- To measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.
Who we share it with
Your information is transmitted to ME Lawyers, APLC’s case-intake systems. We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers (hosting, analytics, messaging) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect and how we use it; (2) request a copy of your information; (3) request deletion, subject to legal exceptions; (4) correct inaccurate information; and (5) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Retention and security
We keep your information as long as needed for the purposes described and as legal-file retention rules require. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.
